Our Beginner's Course is the perfect introduction to group obedience classes for you and your dog! Learn how to effectively communicate with your dog and build a functional, reliable relationship with them, even under distraction.
The obedience skills covered in The Beginner's Course include loose leash walking, stay, recall (come), leave it, heel and positional changes. As with any Best Life training, there is also a heavy focus on building confident dogs, who are capable of making excellent decisions in their everyday life!
This is a 6 week course, with weekly 45min classes. Class numbers are capped to ensure that each and every attendee receives the attention they need!
Classes are located at the Parklakes Sports Complex in Bli Bli, QLD. This location provides ample parking, undercover areas if needed and drinking fountains for both you and your dog.
Enrolment in this course also automatically enables you lifetime access to our online support group.
This course is suitable for any dog or puppy who has been fully vaccinated (4 months+). If you have an unvaccinated puppy, please get in touch with us to discuss private training options and/or feel free to choose a future intake date that will align with your veterinarian's advice.
Intermediate and Advanced Courses also available
*If you have a reactive dog, please contact us directly before booking this course. We will be able to advise you if your dog is suitable for group classes, or whether they will require some individual support before joining in. This is NOT because we discriminate against reactive dogs; it's quite the opposite! If a group setting is too much for your dog, then we risk creating a traumatic rather than positive on-field experience.
*Our booking system requires an attendee count to create your booking. Please set this at 1, otherwise the system will charge you per person. We absolutely do not mind how many family members or housemates accompany you and your dog to classes as long as they are not distracting. They are more than welcome to attend so that everyone is on the same page!
